Did you ever have a horrible year?
Sometimes, friends because they really want to help, ask questions.Two, almost impossible to answer are ‘What’ and ‘Why’. Last year when I discovered Elephant Micah,I realised again that music is very public but also very private.
As a teenager I heard ‘Only The Lonely’ by Roy Orbison, and knew he was talking directly to me.

Later, Tim Buckley sang ‘Chase the blues away’ and added ‘for a while’.Before him, Fred Neil said’ I’m going where the sun keeps shining through the pouring rain’.Music doesn’t offer solutions but can help you answer ‘What’ and ‘Why’.

Before finding Elephant Micah my friend sent me a reading of his poem ‘Paolo Veronese considers blue’

Not long after hearing the poem,I saw the Spinning On Air version of ‘Still Life Blues by E.M. The blues in both were so vivid I could see them, could touch the canvas.

I never get tired of Elephant Micah’s music.The more I hear,the more I want. It gives me hope in people, love and the realisation that people and friends are precious.
